Future benefits to the residents of the estate are a number of proposals initiated and adopted by the Council. It involves expansion and improvement to regional activity centres and community facilities within close proximity to Sanctuary Parks Estate. These include:

• Construction of a shared walking/cycling path along Melaluka Road from Portarlington Road to the Shopping Centre. It will provide easy and safe access to the Shopping Centre, Bellarine Rail Trail and the kindergarten.
• A master-plan for the redevelopment and landscaping of the adjoining Leopold Memorial Recreation Reserve has been developed
• The expansion of the existing shopping centre to include additional retail outlets, trade supplies, bulky goods and other non-retail outlets
• The development of the Leopold Community Hub at Kensington Road adjacent to Leopold Primary School, some 400 metres from Sanctuary Parks Estate, at a cost of $15.7 million has been adopted by the City of Greater Geelong. The development will include a Library, Child Care Centre and other community facilities.
